It is refitted with a large front window for a movie or so. That drastically reduced the dive depth!.

Hey guys, this is why we need a small manned submarine museum.

The vessel is located in Asheboro NC and being auctioned this weekend.  According to Busby, SUBMANAUT was built by Edmund Martine and launched in 1956.  Weight: 50 tons, Length: 43 feet, Beam: 10.75 feet, Height: 16 feet, Draft: 9 feet.  It could carry six occupants to 600 feet.

Maybe we direct Dan Lance to go up there and buy it??
