So, I'm in Guam right now, and happened to notice a small submarine outside a vistor center on the Navy base that seemed like an interesting thing to get a look at. Also at least one active duty sub tied up at the docks here. I wish I had planned my shore excursions a little better and/or had more time to explore and take a few photos for the group. My transportation options are limited, and I'm departing the island tomorrow morning. Hindsight is always 20/20. Interestingly, on the way here I sailed over the Challenger Deep of the Mariana Trench (10,920m). As a colleague put it, "Be careful close to the rail. Bad place to accidentally drop your phone."

I will be in Pearl Harbour in a few weeks, in case there is anything of interest there. Should get an opportunity to wander around.

I'm in this part of the world for RIMPAC 2026. Will try to take some photos or video if there is any visible submarine activity within range during the exercise.

Sean
