The PEX2022 expedition has been scheduled for May 13-19, 2022 in Charlevoix, Michigan USA.  This event is open to all members as participant or spectator.  We have just a little over two months to finalize all details, which actually is not a lot of time so we will need to all work together to get everything in order.  
First, let me share that we have six diving submarines, six surface vessels, and three surface operations officials (SOO) currently committed to the event.  Please contact me at jon.wallace at yahoo.com if you would like to add your submarine or offer your services as well.
We expect to hold a community outreach "Public Display" which is open to all submarines whether dive-ready or not.  If your vessel is under construction, retrofit, or has just become a lawn ornament we invite you to bring it for static display.  Regardless of condition we always find each vessel interesting to view and inspect.
ACTION ITEMS---------------------1) LOGISTICS (lodging, restaurants, suppliers, services).  PSUBS member Bernie Hellstrom is our local contact and will be doing much of the legwork in this area.  He already has a good handle on suppliers and services which we will document and publish well before the event takes place including any anticipated costs.  We will rely on Bernie to make recommendations for local restaurants and lodging.  I hope to have lodging solidified no later than March 31.
2) PILOTS.  There are a number of diving logistics we need to agree upon and plan for that affect only submarine pilots.  I would like to hold a ZOOM meeting so we can discuss particulars in real-time and quickly reach consensus.  I will send a separate email with a suggested date/time for such a meeting.
3) MEMBERSHIP.  On January 1, many memberships lapsed.  This would be a great time to renew.
