Hank,
I was thinking of guides to keep it central so the sub doesn't get a chance
to slip to the side of the boat with wave motion etc. at any stage while hauling 
it on board.
But it might be a case of trying things out in perfect conditions first &
seeing what might be appropriate for rougher conditions.
