I have asked the university students living near me about <em>Ben Franklin,</em> <em>Aluminaut,</em> and <em>Alvin</em>, and they give me a blank look. In <i>Naval History</i>, August 2026, there's a note that the
captain of the <i>Ben Franklin</i>, Don Kazimir, "slipped his final
moorings" at the age of 91. He had retired to North Palm Beach,
Florida.<br>

The submarine is now in the Vancouver Maritime Museum.<br>
