They fielded Pisces IV and V, both 2000m boats diving around the islands and the south Pacific. I was DDO for HURL during the 90s. They stopped diving around 2016 I believe. I left in 99. We did operations out of Smug Harbor and Waimanolo Pier. I think both subs are on the ground at Snug Harbor. </div><div dir="auto">Might be fin to look them up. </div><div dir="auto">Allen</div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote gmail_quote_container"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Sun, Jun 21, 2026, 4:58 AM Sean T. Also at least one active duty sub tied up at the docks here. I wish I had planned my shore excursions a little better and/or had more time to explore and take a few photos for the group. My transportation options are limited, and I'm departing the island tomorrow morning. Hindsight is always 20/20. Interestingly, on the way here I sailed over the Challenger Deep of the Mariana Trench (10,920m). As a colleague put it, "Be careful close to the rail.
