But I was thinking it might be simpler to just switch from the generator to the batteries since the batteries like to have a smart charger. And I think it would be too easy to send too much power to the batteries if they were inter connected. I'm sure it could be done with the right electronics but I would most likely be travelling on the surface with the generator and then sealing it off while I'm underwater. Maybe use those welding disconnects to change over power sources, along with a disconnect switch. </FONT></DIV><DIV><FONT size="2"><BR></FONT></DIV><DIV><FONT size="2">But I also have an outboard engine plan as well. <DIV>Brian,</DIV><DIV>Do you have a 48v generator? I would think it depends on the generator. You can run a table saw off a generator. If it were me, I would look at a pair of 48v alternators driven off a motor that maintain your battery pack while under way. You might have to split the pack into two 24v and use 24 v alternators. I am not sure if you can get 48v alternators easily.</DIV><DIV>Hank</DIV><DIV><BR></DIV>
