My main thinking is that since these are external re-enforcements (all welds under tension, rather than compression), reducing the amount of welding will make things easier/safer. </div><div>I understand it should be possible to achieve the same by welding parts together, but something seems cleaner about using rolled rings.</div><div><br></div><div>I think I can slip the rings over the outside of the hull (I'm removing the skids to do this) by just putting one cut in them and kind of "screwing them on", at least for the full circumference rings, if that doesn't work, I'll make more than one cut. <div>Ian,</div><div>Why T rings, it might be cheaper and for sure super accurate to cut rings from plate. You can have rings cut in halves or thirds to save material. Gamma has solid rings internal instead of T bars. Just an option.</div><div>Hank</div><div><br></div>
