Dr Nuytten told me the mag motors are way more powerful than the oil filled motors. I can not afford the power loss, or rather the range loss. maybe when the new sulfur batteries come on stream the mag couplers will make sense. <div>After talking with a coupler manufacture, I learned there is a 5 to 10% power loss due to eddy currents. I don't think it is worth the cost and effort given the depths I will
reach. Just for interest sake, the coupler for 200inlb torque is 1,200 dollars plus the containment shield.</div>
