Thanks for the photos. 

Why has no one collected interviews with those involved in such work? For example. the captain of the Aluminaut is still with us, as far as I know. I have asked the university students living near me about Ben Franklin, Aluminaut, and Alvin , and they give me a blank look. (The Aluminaut is at the Virginia Science Museum, the last I heard about it.)

Thanks for the notification Mike. At the 2009 convention in Vancouver we visited the Ben Franklin at the museum and the curator opened it up to let us peek inside.

In Naval History , August 2026, there's a note that the captain of the Ben Franklin , Don Kazimir, "slipped his final moorings" at the age of 91. He had retired to North Palm Beach, Florida. 

The submarine is now in the Vancouver Maritime Museum.
