Freight to NZ was US $190 sea freight. Combined weight about 40 kg.This is the last motor that I did a revue of on Psubs.Pierre in France bought 5 in conjunction with me as they wanted a minimum order of 10 for a special order. However there was no modification, they just have to pick up the lower unit with their standard 1 metre of wire coming out of it off the assembly line.If you or anybody else wants to piggyback on this order you would need to be quick.I did send you some info on messenger but it doesn't look like you go there. You or anybody could probably get in on this order by going on the Alibaba site & looking for 48V 150lb 2150W marine boat electric outboard trolling motor, manufactured (so they tell me) by Ningbo Beilun Yinghui Industrial Parts Co. Limited, contact Suzy Shao & mention Alan from NZ.? But you probably have less than a day.Having said that, they may drop the minimum requirement in the future once they have gone through this process of grabbing the lower unit off the production line & found it is not too painful.Cheers Alan Yahoo Mail: Search, organise, conquer -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The latest one I think. Looks ok actually. I wonder if those 3x lip seals could be removed and something like the seal Cliff and Alec added to the minn kota used? Then just use the motor uncompensated? It looks as sturdy, if not more than the minn kota which did well in their tests. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to do that. I am still investigating what motors to use. Im a while away from that yet. I'm sure there would be an equivalent seal that would fit. Or an adapter\modification that could be made to fit. When you were commenting that there were no O rings on the bolts that go through. It looks like the holes are not into the main cavity but in their own castings? That looks like a real bonus as well. I always worry about those o rings on my current motors that are sealing into the motor. I will investigate if there is a slightly smaller one. I think the one you have will be too much for my new boat. Well, you can never have enough thrust, but I mean too much as in power consumption and size. I will have 4 motors on my new boat and i think something like 40lb thrust per motor will be ok for what I need.
