[PSUBS-MAILIST] New Asset - Zodiac Cadet 390 Tender

This is turning into a really thought-provoking thread! Thanks for all the
helpful suggestions, ideas, links (Alec), etc.

Perhaps it is worth considering a smaller engine (either sticking with the
9.9 or maybe getting a 15). One problem is that I don't have a specific
mission in mind so much as a desire for the most useful platform possible
while still maintaining a high degree of convenience and portability.

Those who attended the 2013 convention in Islamorada will remember my dad
building a tow post in the Boston Whaler to aid in pulling Snoopy out onto
the ocean side. It seemed to work alright but the concept could
definitely stand some refinement. I might try to develop a similar tow post
that would mount in the Zodiac to aid in control while towing (it would
likely be stayed from the bow and amidships. As Hank mentions, perhaps
'pushing' is an inflatable's natural calling. Sean makes a good point with
prop choice as well. All great considerations... a lot to think about. ~
