 Thanks guys, it makes me think this should be a design consideration when building a sub, especially a sub with flat ports.  All you would do is increase the size of bolts on the retaining ring, or if that is not practical then increase the number of bolts.  You could do an annual pressure test of each port without removing the port and test on its actual seat.  Hank
