Hank,
what are the advantages of the linear actuators over a hydraulic manipulator.
Is it just smoothness of control? No large valves?  If you have to have hoses to the actuator for compensation, which you would have for hydraulics anyway, then
is there much more of an advantage. You would need to find a linear actuator with
a stainless piston rod.
I am wanting to build a manipulator but still vacillating over the various options!
