The conical ones seal with PTFE tape. The straight ones with a o-ring. In both cases no specific torque.
 
Warning to all: There are bottles with 3/4”BSP while the new valves have M25x2 thread. It fits but has far too much play. Some people got injured when the valve blew out..

Does anyone know if there is any specific torque required to fit a scuba tank pillar valve for an ordinary 220bar air tank? Any ptfe or thread sealant required?
