At the Speed of Light

Welcome aboard the
Light Traveler

As you travel to your destination, remember that distances in the universe are so great that describing those distances in units of miles or kilometers becomes tiring quite fast. If you plan to travel more than one hundred million miles, (100,000,000), it is easier to use a unit of measure known as the Astronomical Unit. This is the average distance of the Earth from the Sun which is 93 million miles. Therefore, a distance of 1 A.U. is equal to 93 million miles. A distance of 10 A.U. is equal to 930 million miles.

Enter the distance you want to travel:
Select a Unit of Measure: Miles A.U.
